Being a Person of Influence with Callum Laing

What does it mean to be a person of influence? Is being a person of influence something you strive for?  When you look around your day to day life who do you influence?

Often even when we dont recognize it we are influencing people.  We all have such a dramatic impact in the lives of others.  The question becomes what kind of influence are we having in other people’s lives?  How are we using the influence that we have and is it the impact we intend.  First acknowledging how our lives influence others and then being intentional about our influence is a key component in our success in both life and business.

The impact we are making on our world, the influence we bring to the planet determines much of the outcomes in our lives.

When we want to grow our company, what we are actually doing is growing our influence.  That is we are expanding the impact we are having on the people we come in contact with. Our influence isnt based on how much we know.  Our impact on others is based in how well we can share with others what we do know.

You have heard it said that all you need to do is share what you have learned with someone who hasnt learned it yet.  THAT is being a person of influence!  And it is in the sharing of our life lessons, both or struggles and our victories that we truly connect with others.

No matter what product or service you sell, being a person of influence will help your company grow!

Do you believe in yourself?

Does believing in yourself seem easy or is it something you struggle with?

How many times do we doubt ourselves?

Do you ever find yourself saying – Am I smart enough?  Do I know enough?  Will people listen to me? Will people buy my product?

These and many other questions are some of the question we can face as an entrepreneurs.  An overcoming the fear as well as learning to embrace who we are is one of the single biggest challenges as well as the cornerstone of real success in business.

When it comes to marketing the #1 thing we need to understand is that You Are Your Brand.  In fact the truth is that YOU ARE YOUR BRAND!

In the end we buy people before we buy things.  This is especially true on social media.  Your future clients are already forming an opinion of us based on how we present ourselves.  There aren’t necessarily any wrong answers IF we are being consistent and genuine.  The authentic you coming across on social media WILL connect you to people like you and in the end these are the kind of people we want to work with and authenticity is the place we should want to operate from as a business.

Starting out Right with Nicole Roberts Jones

Do you know; What starts out right ends up right, but what starts out wrong may never get right.

If you have never heard that saying before then this is a phrase you will want to add to your checklist.  Good starts and bad starts controlling the destiny of a project may be one of the most true elements in life and business.

You will find that it is so very true that when you start off right you head the right way but when you start off heading the wrong way or doing the wrong thing often the course remains off the entire time until we stop and restart correctly.

Sadly it is true that no matter how many times we find this to be true we  find ourselves thinking we we can cheat this basic life principle.  So, we just jump into a new project or a new relationship with no plan and no thought…

…and what happens?

DISASTER.

Next thing we know we are WAY off course in a place we told ourselves we wouldnt end up at again.  Or worse,  we look around and realize we have no idea where you are going or maybe even where you are.

My dad used to say. “if you don’t have time to do it right the first time when are you going to have time to fix it?” Ironically we still find ourselves diving into things with no plan and no regard for what we told ourselves we would learn from the last time.

Why does this keep happening?  It may be excitement, lack of experiences or even hope, that can get in the way of out execution.  We dont intent to fail.  We believe in what we are doing.  But because we don’t have a plan we find our project, our relationships that showed such great promise spinning out of control.

Why is this?

Perhaps more than for any other reason it is because our lack of planning has caused us to have no way of defining success or failure and no map to determine if we are on the right road.  So it is no surprise we are lost.
